About FEA

Senior engineers who design it, commission it, and stay with it.

Facilities Engineering Associates has engineered mission critical power and cooling since 1987. We are a privately held, second-generation firm and small by design: the people who win the work are the people who do the work, and most of them have been doing it here for more than twenty years.

Leadership

Principals on every project.

Brian T. Soucy, P.E., ATD

President, Principal Electrical Engineer
Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer
With FEA since 2003

Brian is President of Facilities Engineering Associates and leads its electrical engineering department. He builds and maintains the firm's long-standing client relationships and is responsible for leveraging new technologies to improve and expand client service offerings. Much of his client work is strategic: helping owners plan capacity, capital spending and multi-year master plans for facilities that cannot go down, and advising when an existing data center can be upgraded for high-density AI loads instead of replaced.

He has spent more than two decades in mission critical engineering for financial services, media, healthcare, retail, defense and technology clients, several of which FEA has served for more than twenty years. His technical background is in medium-voltage distribution, generator plants, UPS systems and protection, and he still leads the firm's reliability reviews and Tier studies.

Marc A. Soucy, P.E.

Vice President, Principal Mechanical Engineer
With FEA since 2000

Marc is Vice President of Facilities Engineering Associates and leads its mechanical engineering department. Together with Brian Soucy, he sets the firm's direction and manages its client relationships. His focus is the long-term plan for a facility's cooling: how central plants, chilled water distribution and data hall cooling can be expanded or replaced in phases while the critical load stays online, and how existing sites can take on liquid cooling for AI.

He has spent more than two decades in mission critical engineering, and his designs emphasize systems that are fault tolerant, maintainable and upgradeable. His background spans chilled water plants, data hall cooling, fire protection and hardened control systems, and he performs FEA's site evaluations and third-party mechanical reliability reviews.

John Lane, P.E.

Senior Electrical Engineer
With FEA since 2000

John provides electrical design and commissioning for data centers, telecommunications facilities and hospitals. He began his career as an electrician and brings a strong aptitude for project management and construction administration. He recently completed work on a 40 MW AI GPU data center and is currently working on multiple AI projects.

Ernest M. Domingue, P.E.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
With FEA since 2012

Ernie has more than 35 years in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design, with extensive experience in chilled water systems and high-density cooling: central plants and distribution, rack and row cooling distribution units (CDUs), rear door heat exchangers and in-row coolers. He led the mechanical design for the 40 MW AI GPU data center and for a Tier 4 compliant 20 MW generator plant.

Mark Noviasky

Senior Electrical Engineer
With FEA since 2012

Mark is FEA's most experienced commissioning agent, working with clients from the owner's project requirements and design reviews through writing and running the full test procedures. Before FEA he spent five years as a senior project manager at a commissioning agency. He also performs short circuit, coordination and arc flash studies.

BSEE, University of Kentucky

John W. Honea, P.E.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
With FEA since 2026

John brings more than 20 years of mechanical design for facilities where temperature, humidity and air quality have to be held precisely: hospitals, manufacturing plants, food processing and government buildings. He has designed chilled water and steam plants, heat exchangers, compressed air and process utility systems, and DDC controls, and he spent three years as an owner's engineer for a major automotive manufacturer, where his work included data center cooling and utility infrastructure. He also performs energy modeling and life-cycle cost analysis.
